HDT owns and runs three buildings/developments in the area. The Heeley Institute is a well-known spot, once the old Sunday School, built in 1826 and now playing host to everything from children’s parties to weekly, community-run dance classes; from live music to business meetings. You can book the space through the trust – just speak to Simon.

Ash Tree Yard is our current home, at the top of Thirlwell Road, hosting our offices and organisations such as Re-Cycle Bikes in a mixed-use space around a courtyard. And Sum Studios is our latest addition – the next story in the life of the old Anns Grove School and we, think, its most exciting – an incredible resource for everyone in Heeley.
